Siblings Angela Lee, Christian Lee reign at ONE: CENTURY
Angela Lee defeated Xiong Jing Nan by fifth round submission to retain the ONE Women's Atomweight World Championship

TOKYO, JAPAN, - Angela exacted revenge, while Christian became a double-champion, making for a pretty successful night for the Lee family at ONE: Century Part I, Sunday morning at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Hall, here.

Looking to erase the painful memory of her last time in Tokyo wherein she absorbed her first career loss, reigning ONE Women's Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee returned to the very same place where she first tasted defeat and gained a measure of retribution against Xiong Jing Nan, the very same woman to defeat her.

This time around however, it was Angela's belt that was on the line, and she wasn't ready to give it up.

Like their first encounter, Angela and Xiong pushed each other to the limit, and a fifth round was once again needed to determine a winner.

After getting rocked early in the round, Angela survived managed to get the fight to the ground in the closing moments of the match. With merely seconds left before the end of the fight and the round, Lee locked in a rear naked choke to force the tap.

Xiong absorbs her first loss in her ONE Championship career, while also coming up short in her bid to become a two-division world champion.

Earlier that night, Angela's younger brother and reigning ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian was able to secure a second championship belt after defeating Dagi Arslanaliev for the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Championship.

Christian, who was coming in as a late replacement for Eddie Alvarez, used his superior grappling to neutralize and stifle the striking power of Dagi en route to a three-round unanimous decision win.
