Former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio takes pride in being known as the resident ‘Rematch King’ of ONE Championship

There’s no better stage to prove it once more when ONE Championship returns to Manila, Philippines for ONE: MASTERS OF FATE

The Team Lakay standout looks to settle another score from the past when he battles Toni “Dynamite” Tauru once more on Friday, 8 November at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“I was not myself that time. I learned my lessons and I will do my best not to repeat the same mistakes,” Eustaquio said.

“I think staying focused and making sure that I am ready for everything when we’re in the Circle will make it a different story [this time around],” he added.

“I am looking forward to our rematch – I want to live on that brand as the ‘Rematch King.’”

There really is no question to how “Gravity” got that nickname.

After losing to Tauru in ONE: AGE OF DOMINATION last December 2016, Eustaquio got back to his old tormentors, scoring wins over Anatpong Bunrad, Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhmetov, and Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes

For the 30-year-old, his biggest weapon is his mind - as he is able to adjust accordingly by not repeating the same mistakes and exposing things that he failed to capitalize on in their first meeting.

He expects the same outcome in his clash with the Finn.

“I had my developments, and I improved in all aspects of my mixed martial arts game,” Eustaquio stated.

“I still need to watch out for his grappling, but I’m not afraid to mix it up on the ground.”

With their rematch just a few days away, Eustaquio is pumped up in showing how far he has improved - especially against the man who earlier exposed the things he needed to work on.

“What matters most whenever I compete is to perform to the best of my ability and give the fans an entertaining fight. They will see my improvement and growth, and I will do my best to show how I can bring my game to the next level,” he said.

“I am looking for a stoppage, and I’m hoping that I can end it by submitting him.”
