It will be Thailand versus Thailand when ONE Championship returns to Singapore for one last time this year with ONE: EDGE OF GREATNESS

ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao returns to the ONE stage when he battles compatriot Saemapetch Fairtex in the main event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 22 November.

This will be the first time Nong-O will face a fellow Thai under the ONE banner, though he is no stranger to that, having competed in Lumpinee Stadium.

Still, the Evolve MMA standout vows to put on a show as he battles in his adopted country of Singapore.

“Every single time I fight, it is exciting and interesting for me,” Nong-O said.

“It is my duty to fight. Whether it is a Thai or a foreigner, I have to do my utmost. It is normal to me, and normal in Muay Thai. I’m not thinking too much about it. I will fight with dignity and do my very best.”

While Nong-O looks to continue taking names in the division, his opponent – Saemapetch – looks at this match as his golden opportunity to face someone he has looked up to for the longest time.

“I am so grateful for ONE for giving me this opportunity,” Saemapetch said.

“If I lose, I won’t really lose because he is a yodmuay [highest level of Muay Thai athlete] and my idol. If I can win this fight, it will be my life’s greatest honor.”

While both athletes respect each other, they will undeniably be looking for the win on Friday.

“I want to tell Saemapetch to train his hardest, be committed, and make this an exciting fight,” the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion said.
