But if given the opportunity to choose any opponent from the deep talent pool of the strawweight division, "Thunder Kid" dropped two names he would love to compete against in The Home of Martial Arts.
“If I am to choose, I want to test my skills against Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke,” Adiwang said, referring to the former ONE Strawweight World Champion.
“He is a very good striker, that’s why I want to test my skills against him. His record in Muay Thai speaks for itself while in MMA, he’s also the first Strawweight World Champion in ONE,” he added.
“The moment he won the crown, I hoped to fight him one day.”
The 26-year-old from Baguio City native made a name for himself through Rich Franklin's ONE WARRIOR SERIES where he went 3-0 on his way to a six-figure contract in the main roster of ONE.
But before he made it to the global stage, Adiwang went through some setbacks early on in his career – and he would love to settle an old score.
"For a local fighter, I don’t know if Roy Doliguez is still active in ONE. It will be an honor to face him again, because he was the first one to give me a loss,” Adiwang said.
“It will show how much I’ve improved and how much I’ve changed. I want to test my skills with him.”
It has been a buzzing, yet fruitful 2019 for Adiwang, going unbeaten in all three of his matches. And though he mentioned his dream bouts, he still vows to take on anyone in the division.
