Denice “The Menace Fairtex” Zamboanga finally makes her ONE Championship debut – but she will have to silence a partisan crowd to make it memorable.

Zamboanga puts her perpetual record at stake when she battles Malaysia’s very own Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan in ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS on 6 December at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

Toting a 5-0 record as she enters The Home Of Martial Arts, “The Menace Fairtex” wants nothing more than to create a dent in her debut.

“[I am] really grateful to be part of the best organization in the world. I’m very excited to represent my own country. This is a big opportunity for me, fighting against a top contender in my division, especially [in] my debut fight,” the 5-0 athlete said.

“I'm working very hard for this fight. I want to start my ONE Championship journey with a win.”

It will not be an easy debut for the Team Fairtex representative as she takes on someone who many believe is the future of Malaysian martial arts.

At age 20, Radzuan has beaten Priscilla Hertati “Thatie’ Lumban Gaol and Jenny “Lady GoGo” Huang early in her career. She is also coming off a first-round submission win over Catalan Fighting System’s Jomary “The Zamboanginian Fighter” Torres

Knowing the credentials of her young foe, Zamboanga will have to work hard against her foe.

“She's well rounded, so I need to be careful with her striking and ground game as well. I don't see any weaknesses from her, except for her wrestling. I guess my wrestling is better than hers,” Zamboanga said.

“I know she’s a strong fighter and she’s also hungry to end [the year] with a win, but I will do everything so I can keep up with whatever she’ll throw in our fight.”

With less than two weeks to go before she makes her much awaited debut, the Filipina vows not to disappoint.

“I don’t have any plans of wasting this magnificent opportunity ONE Championship has given me,” Zamboanga said.

“This match is for everyone who believes in me. I dedicate this to God, family, friends, and supporters.”

For one last time this year, ONE Championship returns to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS at the Axiata Arena on 6 December.
