ONE Championship ends 2019 with a BANG!
Another World Champion will be decided in the co-main event as Russia’s Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov battles China’s “Muay Thai Boy” Zhang Chenglong for the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title.
Zamboanga is an unbeaten martial artist who has been on ONE’s radar for the past few years. The Thailand-based Filipina vows to turn heads in her debut.
“When I was just 20 years old, I was already being contacted to compete here, but I didn’t have enough training and experience then,” she said.
“Now, I feel like I’m really ready for this.”
Like Zamboanga, “Shadow Cat” is also excited for this match, knowing that they could steal the spotlight from the main event.
“I believe we will bring out the best of each other,” Jihin said.
“We are both young, skillful, and are aiming for something in our careers. Fans definitely won’t want to miss our fight!”
The moment the opening bell rings, Jihin urges fans not to blink as she will try to finish the match early.
“Of course, I want it to end as fast as possible, but when you get a tough opponent, that might not happen,” she said.
“My prediction is that I’ll finish this by the second round – either through knockout or submission. One thing is for sure, I don’t want to leave it to the judges’ scorecards.”
Zamboanga shares the same sentiments.
“I feel like we are evenly matched, and I really want to test her striking,” she said.
“I think she is really confident with her striking, and she even called out Stamp for a match. I guess before she gets that, she has to go through me first.”
ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS is set for this Friday, 6 December, at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.
