PBA: Better believe it: Columbian has a winning record once more

Ronald Tubid and Columbian are off to the franchise's best start in two years
Columbian only has four wins to show through 27 games it has played in nearly a year.
Three of those wins have come in the early going of the ongoing 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup – meaning, the Dyip are already off to their best start since the 2016 Governors’ Cup when they went 4-0 out of the gates.
For that, head coach Ricky Dandan is nothing but glad. “Of course, we’re very happy with the 3-2 record. This is a positive step for us,” he told reporters following their third win in the conference on Wednesday at the MOA Arena.
Why wouldn’t they be happy as their campaigns after the 2016 Governor’s Cup have begun this way: 0-5 in the 2016-2017 Philippine Cup, 1-7 in the 2017 Commissioners’ Cup, 0-11 in the 2017 Governors’ Cup, and 0-4 in the 2017-2018 Philippine Cup.
Safe to say, the wins have been hard to come by.
Still, while they already have three marks on the win column, Columbian is nothing but determined for more. “We’re happy for a few minutes when (we) go to the dugout. We’ll be okay (with the win), but then we have to go back to the salt mine, so to speak, because we’re facing Magnolia next game,” Dandan said.
The Dyip will try to even better their already promising record at the expense of the Hotshots a week from now at the Araneta Coliseum.
