The Road Warriors' road to recovery continues as they hope to once again learn how to win before the PBA goes to its mini All-Star break.
NLEX put a minor fix on its emergency situation by taking an overtime win over Phoenix Friday in the 2018 Commissioner's Cup.
Now the Road Warriors' road to recovery continues as they hope to once again learn how to win before the PBA goes to its mini All-Star break.
"It's like we're starting to learn how to win again," Guiao said after NLEX blew a 19-point lead before beating the Fuel Masters in extra time.
"Parang nakalimutan na namin pano manalo. We had a good lead almost throughout the game but we lost it in the last four, three minutes. Of course, that's disappointing but a win is still a win. After three losses we have to start somewhere and just getting a win for us is a big relief," he added.
At 1-3, NLEX is by no means eliminated. There's a lot of basketball left to be played.
But by taking four games to get their first win, the Road Warriors degree of difficulty has changed for the worse in the mid-season joust.
Every game is all the more important now.
"We just look forward to the next games. We play again on Wednesday then we have a long break so we're hoping that we can win again on Wednesday and then just regroup during the All-Star break," Guiao said.
"So gusto lang namin magkaroon kami ng konting...siguro internal search for whatever is going wrong to our team, try to find solutions during that All-Star break," he added.
