PBA: Macklin set to leave Magnolia to play in China
Vernon Macklin will play his last game for the Hotshots Friday against Meralco as the returning PBA reinforcement got a guaranteed deal to play in China.

Magnolia is on the hunt for a new import.

Vernon Macklin will play his last game for the Hotshots Friday against Meralco as the returning PBA reinforcement got a guaranteed deal to suit up in China.

Local sports agent Sheryl Reyes confirmed the development via social media late Monday night.

Macklin only saw action in two games for Magnolia in the 2018 Commissioner's Cup, scoring 25 points in a last-second loss to Phoenix before finishing with 19 in a win against Globalport.

This is Macklin's second stint in the PBA, he first saw action for Ginebra five years ago, leading the Gin Kings all the way to the Commissioner's Cup Finals.
