PBA: Javelona excited to finally get his chance
After a title run with San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas in the ABL, Javelona's PBA dream finally came true after he was signed up by Globaport for the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Pao Javelona was drafted into the PBA in 2016. He never played an actual game in the league.

Until now.

After a title run with San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas in the ABL, Javelona's PBA dream finally came true after he was signed up by Globaport for the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Two games into his career as a Batang Pier, Javelona vividly remembers the moment his PBA dream was finally realized.

"Sobrang saya ko actually," Javelona said Wednesday.

"Habang nagre-reply ako sa agent ko, si Boss Charlie [Dy], parang nanginginig yung kamay ko sa sobrang tuwa. Nae-excite ako," he added.

The former NU Bulldog revealed that he had some plans for a mini break after Alab's championship.

But after getting the call from Globalport, his vacation has been put on hold.

"Dapat uwi pa nga ako ng Bacolod after mag-champion kami," he said.

"Wala lang pahinga, medyo bugbog pa yung katawan. Kailangan lang kumayod kasi ginusto ko rin to e, pangarap ko makalaro dito. God's will naman, nandito na ako ngayon," Javelona added.

The spitfire point guard scored nine points in his debut last May 12 against Magnolia. Against NLEX Wednesday, he went for three points.

He's determined to make it work in the PBA after finally getting his chance.

"Siguro parang yung mga nangyari sakin ginawa kong motivation yun para pag-igihan ko pa yung ginagawa ko at tsaka makarating ako sa kung saan man ako ngayon," Javelona said.

"Extra effort lang, extra work lagi para marating ko yung gusto kong gawin," he added.
