Change is coming to NLEX anew.
A proposed trade featuring the Road Warriors and Blackwater is practically done as both struggling teams in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup have agreed to swap back up big men.
In a trade proposed Friday, NLEX will acquire Dave Marcelo from Blackwater. In exchange, the Elite will receive Rabeh Al-Hussaini from the Road Warriors.
"Rabeh's potential is great, but outs might not be the right system to maximize that potential," NLEX coach Yeng Guiao said in a team statement.
"So this is a win-win situation. He can be better utilized in their team, while Dave Marcelo can be part of our future mainstays," he added.
NLEX and Blackwater have not been performing well in the mid-season joust at all.
The Road Warriors are currently 1-4 while the Elite have it worse as they're still winless in six games.
