PBA: Almazan does not smell what White is cooking
Raymond Almazan and Malcolm White got up close and personal

Chris Tiu getting bloodied was the start of all extra-curricular activities between Rain or Shine and Globalport on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Not long after, a scuffle among Beau Belga, Sean Anthony, Maverick Ahanmisi, and Kelly Nabong then turned it up a notch.

That wasn’t the end of it just yet, though, as Raymond Almazan and White provided the highly physical affair with a closing kick.

With just 40 ticks to go on the clock, the Elasto Painter big man and the Batang Pier import got into it after a rebounding sequence and the former’s shoulder appeared to hit the latter’s face when he was about to land.

White took exception to the hit and the two exchanged sweet nothings.

With players and referees trying to keep them apart, it was Almazan who first walked away – but not before also appearing to taunt White by using his right index finger to cover his nose.

It looked like Almazan was trying to imply something.

Just what exactly it was, however, he wasn’t going to tell. “Wala, pang-inis lang sa kanya yun kasi patalo na sila. So…,” he said before pausing.

He then continued, “Nasa kanya na yun.”

The interaction between the two didn’t end when the final buzzer sounded either as they again got into it as they were exiting the venue.

And again, Almazan taunted White while looking like he was trying to imply something.

Almazan made it clear, however, that all that happened was just Rain or Shine basketball. As he put it, “Part of the game yun. Siyempre, di naman namin pababayaan yung teammate namin na ganunin niya lang tsaka respetuhin naman niya liga natin.”
