PBA: Chris Tiu thanks 'best bodyguards' for standing up
We hope we have teammates like them, too.

Basketball is indeed a brotherhood. Teammates always have one's back, and in this case, almost 600 pounds of reinforcement.

After Chris Tiu was accidentally smacked in the kisser by Globalport import Malcolm White, which caused his lip to be busted wide open and spit with enough blood to be in a horror movie, the veteran guard tried to chase the American after being dazed and confused from the hard hit.

Luckily, he was able to be stopped by his towering and burly teammates, Raymond Almazan, Beau Belga, Maverick Ahanmisi, and import Reggie Johnson, to prevent any more mishap.

"Best & biggest bodyguards," "500+ lbs vs 180 lbs 😂," "Love my teammates #ROSfamily," tagging all four aforementioned in Tiu's Instagram story after the incident.

Tiu, fortunately, busted lip and all, was able to return to the game, hit the dagger three, and was able to live to tell the tale.

"It's been the worst, the hardest hit I've ever gotten in my basketball career. I lost consciousness maybe two seconds ano, parang nasapak ako ni Pacquiao," Tiu said.

"Buhay pa. Malayo naman sa bituka eh," Tiu said with a laugh in the post-game interview.

We hope we have teammates like them, too.
