Justin Brownlee, coming of a championship stint in the ABL, will play for Ginebra after the All-Star break.
Brgy. Ginebra has had enough of Charles Garcia.
After a 1-3 start in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup, the Gin Kings are bringing back old reliable and two-time champion Justin Brownlee to the fold.
Brownlee, coming of a championship stint in the ABL, will play for Ginebra after the All-Star break.
Agent Sheryl Reyes, who represents Brownlee, confirmed the development on Monday.
With Garcia, the Gin Kings struggled out of the break, losing their first two games.
Sunday against Phoenix, Garcia didn't even finish the game after fouling out in the middle of the fourth period. Ginebra lost in double overtime.
Garcia scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds vs. the Fuel Masters but Ginebra's lack of team success is glaring.
Meanwhile, Brownlee has played three conferences for Ginebra, leading the team to back-to-back Governors' Cup titles. The Gin Kings were the no. 1 seed in last year's Commissioner's Cup before falling in the semis.
