BATANGAS CITY, Batangas --- You have to be known for something, right?

Rey Guevarra has regained his Slam Dunk title, besting Renz Palma Friday in the 2018 PBA All-Star Games at the City Sports Center here.

Forced into a sudden death after scoring 75 points each in the final round, Guevarra beat the high-leaping Palma by one point, 40-39, converting a windmill off of a self lob.

Palma's attempt was simpler but required better hang time.

In the final round, Guevarra and Palma fought to a stalemate. Both scored 39 for their first dunks before settling for 36 points in the second one.

Guevarra also beat former champion Chris Newsome, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, Marion Magat, and rookie Lervin Flores for the title.
