PBA: Despite 5-1 start, Rosario wary of tough second half
TNT still has San Miguel, Magnolia, Rain or Shine, NLEX, and Meralco in its schedule.

After a disastrous Philippine Cup campaign, safe to say that TNT has learned its lesson.

Halfway through the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup, the KaTropa are tied for first place with a 5-1 record.

TNT has certainly learned to pile up wins as early us possible and beat the teams they are supposed to. The 5-1 record also acts as a nice leverage late in the conference.

In the case of the KaTropa, their good record now will surely come in handy as their schedule is filled with tough teams in the second half.

TNT still has San Miguel, Magnolia, Rain or Shine, NLEX, and Meralco in its schedule.

"Masaya kami na nakuha namin yung 5-1 record," forward Troy Rosario said Friday after the KaTropa dismantled Columbian Dyip.

"Kasi parating na yung mga mabibigat na teams. Kailangan talaga namin makuha yung mga panalo na kaya namin para maka-prepare kami ng maayos pagdating sa playoffs," he added.

Another factor that should be key for TNT for the rest of the conference is the return of import Joshua Smith.

Smith also came mid-conference last year and had the KaTropa in the Finals.

However, Rosario says TNT should still take things with proper caution noting that Smith was not entirely 100 percent towards the end of last season's failed title bid due to injury.

"Ayaw namin isipin na [mapapadali with Smith] kasi last year ganun din nangyari eh, akala namin madali na lang lahat," Rosario said.

"Yun nga yung nangyari sa kanya last year [injury], so ingat lang kami," he added.
