Kelly Williams sure is thankful that he is able to bounce back and even play at this juncture.
Recovering from an undisclosed upper body injury, Kelly Williams is still not 100-percent.
It was very much evident when he missed a wide-open, one-handed slam with 4:20 left in the third quarter with the game very much at hand for the TNT KaTropa, who were leading 88-57.
"I missed a dunk that i usually make on other games, but this will take time, hopefully in the coming weeks i’ll be able to get myself back to normal," the veteran forward said after the game.
Finishing the game with 11 points in almost 19 minutes of playing time, Williams sure is thankful that he is able to bounce back and even play at this juncture, helping his team to the best record midway through the Commissioner's Cup with a 5-1 record, tied with Rain or Shine.
"I'm just glad to be starting the conference at all to be back from the injury," Williams said.
"The guys have been doing great and I wanna make sure with the inclusion of me, we could be better and play well so it’s a good start."
Also, 'Machine Gun' Kelly reminded us that he is still a very athletic player despite his age and setbacks, and he just needs a bit more from his legs.
"I'm physically strong. It just has to take time to get my rhythm back get my legs under me."
