According to head coach Alex Compton, Calvin hasn't reported to Alaska practice since the PBA All-Star Games. Communication with Abueva has been limited at the moment.

"He didn't show up to practice since the All-Star break. He's been going through personal issues but yeah, we just hope he's safe and alright. I don't actually have a whole lot of info other than that," Compton said.

"Calvin if you're watching, I hope you're okay," he added.

This is the second time this season that Abueva has missed time to deal with "personal issues."

Calvin was also out for some time in the Philippine Cup. He later returned with a new jersey number, going from no. 8 to no. 88.

The Beast last saw action in the Visayas leg of the All-Star Games, leading Gilas Pilipinas with 41 points and 27 rebounds.
