It was the third straight win for the Gin Kings and they are now right in the middle of the playoff race with a 4-5 record.

The Gin Kings are back.

Ginebra dominated Columbian Wednesday in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup, picking up a 134-107 victory at the Big Dome.

Ginebra is in a three-way tie with Magnolia and Globalport for the 6th-8th spots.

"They jumped out on us early," head coach Tim Cone said as the Dyip were up eight in the middle of the opening period.

"And then our defense settle in," he added.

The Gin Kings started to pull away in the second quarter, taking a 13-point lead at the break.

Ginebra opened the floodgates in the second half, leading by as many as 30, 119-89, before taking a 27-point win.

Justin Brownlee scored 24 points to lead the barangay while Japeth Aguilar added 19 points.

Kevin Ferrer was good for 18 and Scottie Thompson submitted his third career triple-double, going for 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Columbian, who falls out of the playoff picture with a 4-6 record, got 30 points and 16 rebounds from import John Fields.
