PBA: Japeth ditches afro for short dreadlocks
The high-leaping Ginebra forward debuted the new look Wednesday in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup against Columbian.

Out with Japeth Aguilar's "afro" and in with his short dreadlocks.

The high-leaping Ginebra forward debuted the new look Wednesday in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup against Columbian.

Japeth, who has left the classic bald look in the All-Filipino says that he's been intrigued with the style for a while.

It just took him time to actually give it a try. Well now is that time.

"I've been intrigued for a long time na and ngayon ko lang na-try. Ayun," he said.

"I just decided to give it a go," Aguilar added.

The new style was done last Monday and it was executed by a a guy who teammate Joe Devance knows. Devance sports the same hair style.

The process took like a couple of hours.

"It's new, something new to me so okay naman," he added.

These types of hair styles need maintenance for sure  and Japeth made it pretty clear that yes, he washes his hair every single day.

"May stereotype di ba na bawal daw basain or i-shampoo, pero okay naman daw. So I still wash it everyday, ayun," Aguilar said.

Ginebra won by 27 points Wednesday so maybe it's a lucky hair cut. What do you guys think?
