PBA: San Miguel takes over solo 5th
San Miguel took over solo 5th with the decision. The champs are now one win away from an automatic quarterfinals slot.

The champs avoid disaster.

San Miguel beat NLEX Saturday in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup, scoring a 125-114 victory at the Calasiao Sports Complex in Pangasinan.

It was back-to-back wins for the Beermen, improving to 5-4 in the standings.

San Miguel took over solo 5th with the decision. The champs are now one win away from an automatic quarterfinals slot.

June Mar Fajardo led the way for San Miguel, scoring 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Marcio Lassiter added 26 on six three-pointers while import Renaldo Balkman finished with 25 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists.

For NLEX, it was Arnett Moultrie that carried the fight with 43 points.

The Road Warriors dropped to 2-8 and are out of contention.
