PBA: Magnolia takes its chances on Wayne Chism
The former Best Import is the Hotshots' fourth reinforcement this conference after Vernon Macklin, Curtis Kelly, and Justin Jackson.

Wayne Chism is Magnolia's new import in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

The former Best Import is the Hotshots' fourth reinforcement this conference after Vernon Macklin, Curtis Kelly, and Justin Jackson.

He will debit for Magnolia next week, ironically against NLEX, his former team.

Chism played for the Road Warriors last season, going 2-9 in the Commissioner's Cup, Three years ago, he won Best Import while leading Rain or Shine to the Commissioner's Cup Finals.

The Elasto Painters lost Game 7 in double overtime to Talk 'N Text that year.

"It's gonna be very different," Chism said of his latest stint.

"I got to get used to everybody, the coaches, and the players. I'm already good with Paul [Lee] so that's okay there but I'm getting comfortable with the rest of the team," he added.

Chism and Lee played in that old Rain or Shine team.

With the Hotshots taking on NLEX next, Chism can't wait especially since he's meeting head coach Yeng Guiao again.

"It's gonna be funny and it’s gonna be fun too at that. Playing against my old team and my old coach too, it’s gonna be great," Chism said.
