PBA: Chan is confident his shots will fall sooner than later
His first game for the barangay, Chan scored only four points, all from free throws. The next game, he scored another four points again, going 2-of-9 from the field.

Without Jeff Chan, Brgy, Ginebra put together a nice two-game run in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

With Jeff Chan, the Gin Kings extended that run to four games, making a serious run to the playoffs after a lethargic 1-5 start.

However, Chan hasn't been contributing that much yet.

His first game for the barangay, Chan scored only four points, all from free throws. The next game, he scored another four points again, going 2-of-9 from the field.

Regardless, Chan is confident the points will come.

After all, he just dropped 26 points in his last game for Phoenix and a couple of days later, he got shipped to the barangay.

"Babagsak din yan," Chan said after Ginebra beat Alaska to make it back to .500 with a 5-5 record.

"At least panalo kami, yun ang importante. Medyo nakaka-pressure kasi para every time na hawak ko yung bola, ine-expect ng mga tao na mashu-shoot ko. Gusto ko lang makatulong in any way," he added.

Playing two games in the week he got traded to Ginebra, Chan naturally is still struggling to mesh with the Gin Kings.

But with the Commissioner's Cup taking a break to give way to Gilas Pilipinas, the veteran sniper hopes the time off can help him adjust to his new team better.

"Nangangapa pa ako sa system. Good thing may two weeks kami, mapagaaralan ko pa yung pwesto ko at yung defensive side, makukuha namin," he said.

"Gusto ko sabihing, ‘Relax lang guys. Papasok din yan. Importante nanalo tayo.’ Yun lang sa akin," Chan added.
