"With all due respect to Calvin Abueva, I'm not worried about those trade rumors," --- Christian Standhardinger.
Christian Standhardinger is still not playing for San Miguel Beer but he's very close to coming back.
The Fil-German forward, who celebrated his birthday Wednesday, gave an update on his bum knee after the Beermen clinched a quarterfinals slot in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Standhardinger says he's still listed as day-to-day but his knee is getting stronger as he continues to get treatment.
"My knee is better. They're actually trying to build the muscle so it doesn't come back and I can play long term. The San Miguel organization is very professional, they really wanna make sure I'm there long term and it doesn't go back," Standhardinger said.
"So that's why we're building all that muscle now to be strong. The swelling is gone," he added.
As he continues to sit out games, Standhardinger has been subject of trade rumors.
Standhardinger already once called those rumors as "scam" and his views on the trade talks remain the same.
He's not paying attention.
"No, not at all. I didn't even know, tell me what those trade rumors are?" Standhardinger said.
Rumors floating around is that he's headed to Alaska in exchange of the suspended Calvin Abueva.
"With all due respect to Calvin Abueva, I'm not worried about those trade rumors," Standhardinger said.
