After a strong start, Campbell has slowed down, scoring only six points in the blowout loss to Ginebra. PBA champion Diamon Simpson will take his place with the Aces.
Eight years since leading Alaska to a title, Diamon Simpson is back for the Aces to try and do the same.
First reported by Nelson Beltran of the Philippine Star, Simpson is set to replace Antonio Campbell as Alaska import in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Alaska is at 7-3 right now with back-to-back defeats. The Aces' seven-game run appears to be distant memory.
After a strong start, Campbell has slowed down, scoring only six points in the blowout loss to Ginebra. Campbell is set to join the Orlando Magic's Summer League team.
As for Simpson, he averaged around 25 points and 16 rebounds for the Aces and led the team to the 2010 Fiesta Conference title over San Miguel Beer. He will return against the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
