The Gin Kings already advanced to the quarterfinals earlier by virtue of Alaska's win over Phoenix but Ginebra will now enter the playoffs with a five-game winning streak for a 6-5 record.

Brgy. Ginebra's comeback is complete.

The Gin Kings already advanced to the quarterfinals earlier by virtue of Alaska's win over Phoenix but Ginebra will now enter the playoffs with a five-game winning streak for a 6-5 record.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Ginebra was at 1-5 and in the brink of elimination. Now, they somehow found a way to avoid a twice-to-beat disadvantage.

"I thought we scored well, we hit shots but I thought we created a lot of offense off our defense," head coach Tim Cone said.

"That's what we're trying to do for the last five games," he added.

With a top-6 spot on the line, the Gin Kings came out firing, scoring the first seven points of the game.

That set the tone early as Ginebra dominated the rest of the way, leading by as many as 23 points in the second half, 81-58.

Justin Brownlee had a big performance, firing 36 points to go along with 11 rebounds and six rebounds. Four locals scored in double figures led by 19 from Japeth Aguilar while Scottie Thompson posted a triple-double of 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.

The Batang Pier dropped to 5-6 and will like have a twice-to-beat disadvantage in the quarterfinals. Malcolm White led the team in scoring with 19 points.
