PBA: Manuel leads June Mar in close BPC race
The Muscle Man went off for the Alaska Aces in the mid-season joust, averaging a league-best 24.2 points on top of 6.3 rebounds and one assist per game.

Vic Manuel is the leading Best Player of the Conference candidate in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

The Muscle Man went off for the Alaska Aces in the mid-season joust, averaging a league-best 24.2 points on top of 6.3 rebounds and one assist per game.

At one point in the conference, Manuel led Alaska to a blistering seven-game run and now, the Aces enter the playoffs as the no. 2 seed with a strong 8-3 mark.

For all his work, Manuel is first in the race with an average of 37.2 Statistical Points.

Manuel leads June Mar Fajardo who is at close second with 36.8 SPs.

Just like his Beermen, Fajardo had a slow start to the conference before he flipped the switch. The Kraken finished with an average of 19.6 points and 11.4 rebounds for the defending champions.

Completing the top-5 for the BPC are Sean Anthony with 35.4 SPs, Stanley Pringle with 35.0 SPs, and Chris Newsome with 33.5 SPs.

In the Best Import race, Eugene Phelps leads the pack with 55.1 SPs but his Phoenix Fuel Masters missed the playoffs, leaving the door open for Renaldo Balkman with 53.4 SPs.

John Fields (53.0 SPs) is third but Columbian also missed the playoffs. Fourth is the returning Diamon Simpson (52.0 SPs) while Justin Brownlee (51.1SPs) completes the top five.
