PBA: Beermen continue title defense vs. Alaska in semis
The San Miguel-Alaska series is the first for both teams since the 2016 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

San Miguel's title defense continues.

The 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals is here and the defending champion Beermen are up first as they take on no. 2 Alaska for Game 1 of their best-of-5 series Saturday at the MOA Arena.

Following a 0-3 start, San Miguel has fully recovered in the mid-season joust to make it all the way to the semis.

The Beermen swept rival TNT in the quarterfinals on their way to the Final Four.

Meanwhile, despite suspending star forward Calvin Abueva, the Aces continue to do well, making quick work of Magnolia in the quarters to be the first team to advance.

The San Miguel-Alaska series is the first for both teams since the 2016 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

In that best-of-7, San Miguel completed the incredible "Beeracle" run to capture a second straight All-Filipino.

Of course, if the Aces go up 3-0 again, there will be no comeback this time around.

Tip off will be at 6:40 p.m. for Game 1.
