PBA: Vintage James Yap shows up again as Rain or Shine equalizes semis

Just nursing a one-point lead, 101-100 under two minutes left, Reggie Johnson and James Yap swished two clutch triples to comfortably put up the Elasto Painters up, 107-100, with about a minute left.
The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters equalize the best-of-five 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup semis with a 109-100 win against Ginebra at the Big Dome Thursday evening.
Down 97-100 with 3:27 left following a Jeff Chan three-pointer from the right wing, the top-seeded Elasto Painters ventured on a 12-0 run to tie things up at one game apiece.

A back-and-forth game all throughout, Yap demonstrated flashes of brillance of his old self, scoring 18 points including a cool 3/6 shooting clip from beyond the arc, Rain or Shine's top scorer among locals.
Johnson meanwhile flirted with a triple-double, scoring 25, grabbing 20 rebounds, and dishing out eight assists.
Ginebra's Justin Brownlee meanwhile was the top scorer of the game, tallying 29 markers, and added 12 rebounds.
Greg Slaughter meanwhile also had a great scoring performance, as he scored 20 points, while LA Tenorio and Scottie Thompson added 17 and 14 points, respectively.
For Rain or Shine, three more players scored in double-figures.
The win guarantees a Game 4 on Monday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
