PBA: Grand ROS reunion a possibility for Asian Games
Following the FIBA suspension of most of its core, TNT will no longer represent the Philippines in the upcoming Asian Games in Indonesia. Instead, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, the no. 1 seed in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup, are all but set to take over in the quadrennial event.

Rain or Shine and head coach Yeng Guiao are about to be reunited and it should feel so good.

Coaching the team will be Yeng Guiao of the NLEX Road Warriors. Before his stint with NLEX, coach Yeng handled ROS and led the team to two PBA titles.

In a report by PBA Press Corps president Gerry Ramos of Spin.ph, coach Yeng is all set to be in charge of the Asian Games team and he wants some of his old players back to complete a quick ROS reunion.

Guiao reportedly wants Magnolia's Paul Lee and Ginebra's Jeff Chan back though it would be a longshot considering the Gin Kings are yet to even start their Commissioner's Cup Finals series against San Miguel.

The last time coach Yeng handled a Philippine team was in 2009 with Powerade-Pilipinas that competed in the FIBA-Asia Championships.

Regarding the Asian Games, and the state of Gilas Pilipinas in general, the PBA Board will meet Thursday. The meeting should give more clarity on the numerous topics and issues surrounding the national team.
