"I won in the ABL, I'm gonna tell you guys, this [PBA championship] is going to mean something to me," --- Renaldo Balkman.
Renaldo Balkman already won an ABL title for San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas in his return stint to the Philippines.
However, if Balkman gets to win a PBA title for the San Miguel Beermen, Renaldo's redemption will be complete.
It all goes back to five years ago when Balkman's first PBA appearance for Petron Blaze was cut terribly short because of one regrettable action.
He has since made amends and has the backing of Arwind Santos of all people. Balkman wants a title to complete his story in the Philippines and after a dominant San Miguel victory in Game 3 of the Commissioner's Cup Finals, he's two wins away.
"I want it," Balkman said.
"I want it really bad, I want that championship. This is the one I want," he added.
Now that he's halfway there, Balkman has started to slowly make it known that helping the San Miguel franchise win a PBA Championship is a huge part of why he came back.
How he managed to come back plays a crucial role as well. Basically, he doesn't want this chance to go to waste.
"I won in the ABL, I'm gonna tell you guys, this [PBA championship] is going to mean something to me," Balkman said.
"By whatever means necessary we'll try to get this W," he added.
