"That's one of the things we discussed with officials [leaving an open spot for Clarkson]," Guiao said Friday before practice.

"We'll take the risk. Kasi kung wala kang ibigay na slot tapos pinayagan pala siya, di rin siya makakalaro," he added.

The Asian Games committee reportedly had a meeting to decide on the elibility of the players Friday afternoon.

As of press time though, there's still no solid update on Clarkson.

"We're still waiting for word on the situation of Clarkson," Guiao said.

"Of course we want him to play," he added.
