PBA: Coach Nash on import's performance: 'We expect more'
It was a sorry performance for Mike Glover, who scored just 11 points on 4/12 shooting, but grabbed 15 rebounds in the process.

ANTIPOLO CITY -- TNT head coach Nash Racela did not mince words on import Mike Glover's underwhelming performance in the KaTropa's 103-90 loss against NLEX Friday evening.

It was a sorry performance for Mike Glover, who scored just 11 points on 4/12 shooting, but grabbed 15 rebounds in the process.

Instead, NLEX reinforcement Olu Ashaolu stole the show, as he finished the game with 33 points and 23 rebounds in 42 minutes of play on one leg, nursing on what may be a serious knee issue.

The TNT mentor seemed to be so disappointed about the numbers Glover posted, and could not even finish his statement.

"Of course we expect more, always expect more. 11 and 15 are not the numbers that you...,"

However, Racela is more concerned about the bigger pictur as the KaTropa are slated to play six games in two weeks, then get 19 days of rest in September and October.

The former FEU Tamaraws coach also added that not only Glover but all of his players need to step up against Meralco and reigning two-time Best Import Allen Durham on Sunday.

"We need to focus on the kasi yun ang hirap e because now yung schedule na binigay sayo you play back-to-back so it's hard to still think about that. Importante is prepare na for the next."
