PBA: 14 assists are no problem for Chris Banchero
"It's easy to have that many assists when guys are on fire." --- Chris Banchero.

Simon Enciso certainly stole the show Sunday for the Alaska Aces, firing a career-high 30 points in a dominant 125-96 win over TNT.

Enciso drilled a total of nine three-pointers in the game, seven in the first half and five in the opening period.

However, one other Aces point guard shine in the win and that was veteran Chris Banchero.

Banchero played 26 minutes and while he didn't make nine treys, he did score 15 points and issued 14 assists in a near-perfect performance for Alaska.

But dishing out that many dimes is no problem says Banchero, especially if his teammates are making everything.

"It's easy to have that many assists when guys are on fire," he said.

"All I gotta do is get the ball to them," Banchero added.

The Aces moved to 2-0 with the win, taking an early lead in the Governors' Cup.

With an uneven schedule, Banchero says its important for Alaska to pile up wins early and they did just that in their opening weekend of play.

"We came out really strong, it was nice. We got four games in nine days so we wanna get off to a good start," Banchero said.
