A 3-1 record is the best start in franchise history for Phoenix, which is nice, but it's nothing to be proud of says its top shooter.
Things are good for Phoenix right now.
Following a 30-point demolition of TNT, the Fuel Masters are now 3-1 in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup.
It's the best start in franchise history for Phoenix, which is nice, but it's nothing to be proud of says its top shooter.
"I'd rather go 4-0 but it is what it is right now," guard Matthew Wright said.
"I'll take 3-1, this is probably our best start in franchise history but it's nothing to be proud of, we still have a long way to go," he added.
Phoenix has underachieved this season, missing the playoffs in each of the first two conferences.
But with the way they're playing right now, Wright says there's reason to believe in his team now.
"I think we're playing really well this time," Wright said, who finished with 16 points, five rebounds, and six assists against the KaTropa.
"Unfortunately we had a long offseason because we didn't make the playoffs, but I think we used that as motivation to fix things and to push ourselves to get to this level. All of us, even the secondary unit, are stepping up. We feel really confident in our abilities right now," he added.
