Ball is truly life for Christian Standhardinger.

Just a day after finishing 5th place in the 2018 Asian Games for Gilas Pilipinas following a 54-point demolition of Syria, Standhardinger is already in Manila wearing his San Miguel jersey.

Standhardinger arrived late to the Big Dome Saturday following their trip from Jakarta but he's already in uniform early in the first quarter as the Beermen make their Governors' Cup debut against NLEX.

As of press time, the Fil-German forward is yet to be fielded in by head coach Leo Austria but Christian did reply with a quick, "yes" when asked if he's playing tonight.

[UPDATE: Standhardinger has checked in for San Miguel with 3.3 seconds to go in the first quarter]

Standhardinger is fresh from an impressive stint at the Asiad, emerging as the true no. 2 of the Philippine team behind Jordan Clarkson.

The top pick of the 2017 Draft submitted a pair of 27-point games in the classification round as Gilas settled for 5th place, the country's highest finish in th Asian Games in 16 years.
