Vic Manuel was disappointed that he could not deliver the win against the two-time reigning Governors' Cup champions.
Following up on his tremendous Commissioner's Cup outburst, Alaska Aces forward Vic Manuel submitted another Best Player-worthy game, Sunday night.
Against Barangay Ginebra, the 'Muscle Man' put up 28 points, but was severely outshadowed by the Gin Kings' do-it-all import Justin Brownlee's near triple-double, 45-point, 11-rebound, nine-assist performance. Japeth Aguilar also had great numbers of 24 markers and 10 boards to help Ginebra get past Alaska, 109-101.
Manuel was disappointed that he could not deliver the win against the two-time reigning Governors' Cup champions.
"...[K]ung kailan maganda laro ko, natalo kami. Sabi ko nga, hindi baleng mababa yung points ko basta panalo kami kaso ayun, natalo."
The hulking forward added that he could not contain Brownlee's explosive performance. The fan-favorite import shot 19/33 from the field for an almost 58-percent success rate.
"Sobrang hirap bantayan nun kasi napakagaling talaga e. May sa labas, atake, may post. Talagang best import talaga e kaya saludo ako sa kaniya. Hirap niyang bantayan."
"Kaya niyang gumawa ng paraan e. Iiskor at iiskor talaga. Sobra, nahirapan ako. Napagod nga ako e."
