PBA: Magnolia stays hot after dominating Columbian
Notching its fifth win in six games, Magnolia gained a share of first place with idle Ginebra.

Magnolia stays hot in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup.

The Hotshots rolled to their third straight win in the conference, scoring a convincing 113-95 victory over Columbian Wednesday at the Big Dome.

Meanwhile, the Dyip remained winless in the Governors' Cup with a 0-7 mark.

Coming off a pulsating win over San Miguel Beer, Magnolia started out strong against the Dyip. The Hotshots scored the game's first eight points and never looked back.

Magnolia led by as many as 28 points, 77-49, as they completely overwhelmed the struggling Dyip.

"This is a very important game for us. I told to my players na kung ano man mindset sa Ginebra, sa ROS, we needed it for Columbian. Cause we cannot afford to relax. This is our fourth game in 10 days so we needed to finish strong," head coach Chito Victolero said.

"We need to have the best effort kahit sino pa kalaban namin," he added.

Import Romeo Travis went to work against Columbian, piling up 32 points to go along with 14 rebounds and seven assists. Mark Barroca added 16 points and Paul Lee was good for 13 markers.

For the Dyip, Jackson Corpuz led the way with points. Import Akeem Wright had 19.
