Unsurprisingly, the Dyip are in last place in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup after going winless in seven games so far.
Safe to say, Akeem Wright's PBA stint has been rather disappointing.
Wright and his Columbian Dyip remain winless in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup. Following another loss to Magnolia Wednesday, they're now 0-7 in the conference.
Unsurprisingly, the Dyip are in last place.
"We're disappointed. We know early on that we had a lot of games that we should have won but we let slip away," Wright said.
"Now we got some tough teams. You know, were playing good in spurts but not for a full game. We just need to put it together for a full game," he added.
Despite the losses piling up, Wright maintains a good outlook for his team.
With a looming showdown against Northport, who is 0-6 by the way, Wright feels that his Dyip can finally snatch a victory.
They are determined to not keep losing in the Governors' Cup.
"Nobody wants to continue to be winless," Wright said.
"We like our chances. Just like us they haven't won yet, so it's gonna be a dogfight. Expect both teams to come out and try to get a win," he added.
