--- Prince Caperal. (PBA Images)
STA. ROSA, Laguna --- With star center Greg Slaughter once again bit by the injury bug, Ginebra turns to Prince Caperal to help hold the fort in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup.
Sunday against Meralco, Caperal came through in his own way.
While reigning two-time Best Import Allen Durham still got his numbers, Caperal and the rest of the Ginebra frontline made sure it was a struggle for the Meralco reinforcement.
Durham got 36 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists but it was the Gin Kings that came away with the win.
That counts as mission accomplished for a team defense led by Caperal down low.
For good measure, Caperal also scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds in 19 minutes of play. It's the kind of solid production that helps him earn minutes with the absence of Slaughter, who us dealing with a bum ankle.
Lagi lang ako ready," Caperal said.
"Thankful na rin ako sa coaches and sa mga teammates ko na nagtiwala sila sakin," he added.
