PBA: Red-hot Hotshots humble Elite by 34 points
The streaking Hotshots improved to 6-1 after a fourth straight win. They also take over solo second place in the standings from the Elite.

Not even Blackwater can cool off the red-hot Hotshots.

Magnolia gave the Elite a huge dose of reality and picked up a convincing 133-99 win Wednesday in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The streaking Hotshots improved to 6-1 after a fourth straight win. They also take over solo second place in the standings from the Elite.

"Happy ako sa record namin," head coach Chito Victolero said.

"Pero di pa rin pwede makuntento. Yung reminder ko, let's look at the big picture. Prepapre for one game at a time," he added.

The Hotshots led by as many as 38 points in the dominant win over Blackwater and they were paced by import Romeo Travis who dropped 22 poins, 12 rebounds, and seven assists.

Paul Lee added another 19 points while Mark Barroca and Ian Sangalang were good for 16 and 15 points respectively. Jio Jalalon recorded his first PBA triple-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists.

For the Elite, who dropped to 6-2, Henry Walker finished with 27 points and 18 rebounds before he getting ejected.
