Down by as many as 11, San Miguel used a strong fourth quarter run to comeback and pull away from the KaTropa.

The Beermen are starting to pick up steam.

San Miguel once again frustrated rival TNT, scoring a 107-96 win Saturday in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup at the Calasiao Sports Complex in Pangasinan.

Winners of back-to-back games for the first time this conference, the Beermen climbed to 4-4 in the standings, which puts them in 6th place for the moment.

Down by as many as 11, San Miguel used a strong fourth quarter run to comeback and pull away from the KaTropa.

Import Kevin Murhphy and Chris Ross each hit timely treys late to secure the victory.

Murhpy flirted with a triple-double and finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists to lead San Miguel while top pick Christian Standhardinger had another strong outing of 20 points and 13 rebounds.

For the KaTropa, import Marqus Blakely was also on triple-double watch with 26 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists. RR Pogoy was the top local with 21 markers.

The loss snapped TNT's three-game winning streak as they drop to 4-5, tied with idle NLEX for 7th place.
