"If there's a chance, we can't be mad," forward Cliff Hodge said of Meralco's 3-6 record. "Right now, our playoffs already started," he added.
ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal --- Despite suffering six straight losses, Meralco is still quite lucky to have a chance to advance in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup.
And after beating no. 1 Magnolia at the Ynares Center here Friday, that chance is still there for the Bolts and they'll take that.
That's better than nothing, after all.
"If there's a chance, we can't be mad," forward Cliff Hodge said of Meralco's 3-6 record.
"Right now, our playoffs already started," he added.
With their current standing, the Bolts are fighting to get in.
There's three more slots to be filled in the Governors' Cup playoffs and provided they make it three straight against Rain or Shine Sunday, Meralco will definitely in the thick of things.
"For sure, it has been a tough conference for us," Hodge said.
"This time around, we're putting the piece together. We're going out there and just trying to fight, every game just trying to make the playoffs," he added.
