Following a meeting Monday with ROS officials, Almazan will stay with the Elasto Painters but he will be out for the remainder of the season.
There has been a resolution to the Raymond Almazan saga.
Well, sort of.
Following a meeting Monday, Almazan will stay with the Elasto Painters but he will be out for the remainder of the season.
The PBA reported that Almazan, who was with his wife Liza and agent Danny Espiritu, met with the Rain or Shine brass ledd by co-owner Raymund Yu to discuss their differences.
Also in the meeting were ROS team governor Atty. Mamerto Mondragon and head coach Caloy Garcia.
Almazan has gone AWOL from Rain or Shine for a couple of weeks now, missing his team's last six games in the ongoing Governors' Cup. The reason behind the ordeal has been identified as "miscommunication."
The Elasto Painters are currently struggling to a 2-6 record in the Governors' Cup and have three games to go to try and sneak into the playoffs.
Almazan is expected to report back to Rain or Shine next month to star prep for a new PBA season.
