PBA: Aces, Hotshots target playoff bonus
The Aces are up first as they take on the NLEX Road Warriors in the 4:30 p.m. game followed by the Hotshots squaring off against TNT KaTropa in the main 7:00 p.m. joust.

The PBA playoff race is going down the wire.

Friday in the 2018 Governors' Cup, Alaska and Magnolia will look to secure their respective twice-to-beat advantage against separate opponents at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Aces are up first as they take on the NLEX Road Warriors in the 4:30 p.m. game followed by the Hotshots squaring off against TNT KaTropa in the main 7:00 p.m. joust.

Alaska and Magnolia currently share first place with two-time champion Brgy. Ginebra with identical 7-2 marks.

If they get to eight wins, that's a guaranteed twice-to-beat edge come the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, both the Road Warriors and the KaTropa are at 4-5 and currently occupy the 7th-8th spots. Both teams are barely holding on to their playoff spots and a win should boost their chances of advancing to the next round.
