PBA: Streaking Beermen make play for top-4
A distant contender for a twice-to-beat edge is San Miguel (5-4) and the streaking Beermen can make moves anew against Rain or Shine.

There are still three playoff bonuses at stake in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup and the Blackwater Elite would look to join the crowded race up top.

So far, Magnolia is the only team to secure a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals while Ginebra (7-2), Alaska (7-3), and Phoenix (7-3) only need one more win to clinch.

Blackwater (6-3) would like to inch closer as well as they take on Columbian (1-9) Saturday at the Alonte Sports Arena in Laguna.

The Elite are coming off back-to-back defeats and a bounce back win couldn't be more timely.

A distant contender for a twice-to-beat edge is San Miguel (5-4) and the streaking Beermen can make moves anew against Rain or Shine.

Winners of three straight games, San Miguel can still make a play for the top-4 however, they have to go through Rain or Shine (2-7) who's barely clinging to its season.

The Blackwater-Columbian game is set for 4:30 p.m., while the SMB-ROS showdown will tip off at 6:45 p.m.
