PBA: Tiu breaks career-high anew as ROS ends season with a W
ROS will finish the year with a 3-8 record in the Governors' Cup for 10th place, missing the playoffs for the first time this season.

Rain or Shine ends its season on a high note.

Already eliminated and no longer having an import, the Elasto Painters used a terrific second half to frustrate the NLEX Road Warriors Saturday in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup, scoring a final 107-101 win.

Down by as many as 16 in the second half, Rain or Shine turned it around in the second and put up a lead as high as 20 in the fourth period.

ROS will finish the year with a 3-8 record in the Governors' Cup for 10th place, missing the playoffs for the first time this season.

Chris Tiu broke his career-high for a third time this conference alone, scoring a game-high 30 points to lead the Elasto Painters.

"At the end of the day, Chris played his heart out," head coach Caloy Garcia said.

"Basically, today's game was for Chris," he added.

Tiu was sensational for Rain or Shine in their comeback effort, scoring 17 points in the second half and sparking a 36-point third quarter for the Elasto Painters that turned the game around.

Now in control, ROS pounded on the Road Warriors, leading by 20, 101-81, which was more than enough to hold off a late charge by NLEX.

On top of scoring 30 points, Tiu also had four rebounds and five assists in his possible farewell game.

Four other locals scored in double figures for ROS led by 13 from Jewel Ponferada.

NLEX will finish the elimination round with a 5-6 record and will finish no higher than 7th place. Import Aaron Fuller was the high man for the Road Warriors with 29 points.
