PBA: Walker after BWE loss:
Blackwater, who started the conference with a sizzling 4-0 run, missed out on the twice-to-beat advantage in the playoffs and the Elite are now on the brink of elimination.

Blackwater's breakout conference ends in a dud.

The Elite lost to Phoenix Sunday to end the elimination round of the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup. The loss put Blackwater to 5th place with a 7-4 mark.

Blackwater, who started the conference with a sizzling 4-0 run, missed out on the twice-to-beat advantage in the playoffs and the Elite are now on the brink of elimination.

They draw the Magnolia Hotshots in the quarterfinals.

"We wasted four months of work, four months of preparation. We wasted a great conference to go out there and lay a dud in the end. All the time we put into getting that top-4 and we got out here today and we don't bring the energy we need," import Henry Walker said of the crushing loss to the Fuel Masters.

"I'm disappointed man," he added.

The Elite must now win two straight games against the Hotshots in order to advance to the semifinals for the first time ever.

However, Walker says that Blackwater will need so major changes before the playoffs start.

The changes need to come quick as the Elite simply have no more room for error moving forward.

"It is what it is. We gotta win to survive so it's gonna be another war. Just get some rest tonight, tomorrow, and get ready to go again," Walker said.

"It was right there in front of us [twice-to-beat]. We gotta do some soul-searching and some gut check," he added.
