Kiefer Ravena is starting to feel the effects of that 18-month ban by FIBA on a deeper, more personal level.
After getting suspended last February for doping, the former No. 2 overall pick is predictably itching to get back on the court.
What's probably making this whole ordeal worse for him is seeing not just his teammates out on the court, but also his family.
The Ravenas are one of the most prolific athetlic families in the country, with each of its members having ties with sports, as Kiefer succintly tweeted, on a busy Sunday afternoon that saw nearly his entire clan scattered on different parts of the Metro playing.
One of the few weekends when you really get jealous. The brodie has a game this afternoon, the sizzums also has a game and the erpats has a game. Meanwhile i stay at home and watch all three. Let’s go Fam! #RavenaFamily— Kiefer Ravena (@kieferravena) November 4, 2018
His siblings, Thirdy and Dani, were out representing Ateneo in the UAAP and the Premier Volleyball League, respectively. Each of them got wins. Meanwhile their dad Bong was on the sidelines of the TNT KaTropa in the PBA.
While Kiefer is counting down the months, weeks, and days until he can don his NLEX and Gilas Pilipinas jersey once more, he'll have to make do with supporting his family, and teammates from afar.
