PBA: Cone as Kings face elimination again: We're here to win
After proving that "Never Say Die" is still effective, Ginebra is out to prove its champion status as they look to stage an epic comeback against the Magnolia Hotshots to properly defend their title in the PBA Finals.

Barangay Ginebra finally got one win in Manila Clasico after being down 0-2 in the best-of-5 semifinals.

Obviously, that's not enough.

After proving that "Never Say Die" is still effective, Ginebra is out to prove its champion status as they look to stage an epic comeback against the Magnolia Hotshots to properly defend their title in the PBA Finals.

"We're happy to be alive and kicking but that's not what we're here for," head coach Tim Cone said.

"If we're just going to be here to win one game so we can take pride in that, that's – in my term – that's pogi points. We're here to win this series," he added.

Cone is banking on his veteran and battle-tested crew to keep the mentality that allowed them to erase an 18-point second-half deficit in Game 3 to make Manila Clasico a proper series.

While ultimately winning the semifinals is the end goal for Ginebra, first priority is winning back-to-back games.

If the Hotshots were able to do it, Cone sees no reason why they can't do it as well.

"I just hope our guys understand that and don't rest on their laurels that they're able to pull out one game. We got to keep moving forward and like we said, they beat us twice, we feel we can beat them twice and then we're looking to jump ball in Game 5 and go from there," Cone said.

"That's kind of our attitude at this point," he added.
